Mark Young > DIRECTOR - Australia

Mark grew up in a family actively involved in Papua New Guinea and Australia with Wycliffe Bible Translators. He is married to Joanne who also spent some time in PNG - as a child and later in high school. Mark and Joanne have been married for 25 years and have three children; Justin, Ashley and Bethany.

Mark's role was initially as a staff worker in training with a particular focus on supporting Caleb graduates in the follow-up process of their training. In 2000 he was elected to oversee the ministry team and officially took up the role of director at the commencement of 2001.

Over the last 15 years Mark and Joanne have experienced a growing passion for assisting leaders in the local church in Australia. They are equally committed to advancing the resource of training leaders beyond Australian soil to nations where the church is experiencing incredible growth but lacking the key elements and skills of leadership. This training is desperately needed for the long term sustainable growth of the Church. In the West the local church is well resourced while in many African countries, for example, God's people are struggling with little or no training or resource materials.

Melanie Price > STAFF WORKER/TRAINER > Australia

Melanie Price joined Caleb Leadership Ministries as a staff worker in training in February 2010. After spending 2 years on OM’s ship, the Logos Hope, Mel found her niche in training the international crew on board and wanted to pursue this track on returning home.

Being raised in the local area, Melanie has had a lot to do with her local church, Edge, in East Doncaster working as their Office Manager and Children’s Pastor over a duration of 5 years. With a passion for children’s ministry, Mel also has involvement with OAC Ministries, CYC Holiday Camps, Scripture Union, Kids Hope Aus and CRE (Christian Religious Education) seeking opportunities to further enhance her leadership and teaching skills. Melanie hopes to complete her Associate Degree in Theology at the close of 2010.

Having completed the Caleb Institute in 2007 before leaving for the ship, Melanie desires to continue equipping leaders with skills that will enhance their ministry and contribute to fulfilling the great commission. The added excitement of working internationally training missionaries in leadership management is also an area that she hopes to have continued involvement and influence in the future.
