Our Values - What is important to us?
- Our Faith
Caleb Leadership Ministries is Christ-Centered. We confess the gospel of Jesus Christ as expressed in the Apostles’ Creed [See below]. Because we live by means of the Gospel, we also desire to live in the manner of the Gospel, and to dedicate ourselves to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ. This is done with the hope that men and women will come to put their trust in God through Christ, confess Him as their Saviour and serve Him as their Lord – In fellowship with the local church. We believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, the Bible being the inspired Word of God, given to us under the direction of the Holy Spirit.
- The Church
We recognise that the local church is Christ’s instrument to extend His Kingdom, and we are committed to serving the local church and its members through an offering of excellent leadership training, internship and consultancy services so as to better the church to fulfill its’ mandate. We are our accountability to the church.
- Candidates for Christian Leadership
The Qualities we seek to develop in candidates for leadership include a missionary heart, a deep love and respect for people, the maturity and giftedness for leadership responsibility, and a genuine desire to know Christ and make Him known. We want to develop men and women with Christian values who are healthy role models especially for young people, and who are committed to the local church.
- Training Programs
Caleb Leadership Ministries training programs employ a unique methodology designed to build confidence with a “how to” type approach involving participation and skill development, an environment of affirmation and personal accountability. We believe it is appropriate to use all the giftedness and leadership tools which God has given us.
- Relational Ministry
The way a person gets to know Christ is through the Word, as well as being in community with the people of God who love Christ. The truth of the Gospel is not taught, but caught, as the person of Jesus Christ is experienced through relationships. We emphasize that evangelism and discipleship can be effectively implemented in an environment where there is an experience of friendship, family, and Christian community.
- Staff and Volunteers
We are committed to maintaining a work environment which encourages creativity and initiative whilst recognising achievement. We strive to model and promote balanced family lives and Christ-centered lifestyles. We are committed to excellence. We desire to be the best and do the best to the credit of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
- Partners
Partnership is an expression of accountability to the broader church. A partner of Caleb Leadership Ministries is a church or person who shares the mission, beliefs, and vision of the Caleb Leadership Ministries and who on a continuing basis is active in furthering the mission. There are different areas in which to exercise partnership:
- Graduates of Caleb Institute
- Participants in other courses
- Director and staff.
- Speakers, faculty, and mentors.
- Financial partners
- Prayer partners and volunteers.
All partners need to be renewing their commitment on a regular basis.
- Finances
Fees received for services rendered are the basis for financial operations. Contributions and profits are utilised primarily for further staffing, capital expenditures and expansion.
