Mark Young > DIRECTOR - Australia

Mark grew up in a family actively involved in Papua New Guinea and Australia with Wycliffe Bible Translators. He is married to Joanne who also spent some time in PNG - as a child and later in high school. Mark and Joanne have been married for over 23 years and have three children; Justin (18), Ashley (15) and Bethany (11).

Mark's role was initially as a staff worker in training with a particular focus on supporting Caleb graduates in the follow-up process of their training. In 2000 he was elected to oversee the ministry team and officially took up the role of director at the commencement of 2001.

Over the last 15 years Mark and Joanne have experienced a growing passion for assisting leaders in the local church in Australia. They are equally committed to advancing the resource of training leaders beyond Australian soil to nations where the church is experiencing incredible growth but lacking the key elements and skills of leadership. This training is desperately needed for the long term sustainable growth of the Church. In the West the local church is well resourced while in many African countries, for example, God's people are struggling with little or no training or resource materials.
